What about now?

Trial Specialist Course is over and I'm too sure about all the others but I'm pretty happy with my results, honestly. Without any serious preparations and frantic mugging, this is where I stand. So yes.

But I'm not here to boast or anything. (I'll rather do that in person. 8D)

What I'm here is to deliver some points for reflection because I'm seriously affected by our performance thus far. I'm not the only one but I'm definitely one of the few who cares more. So, I just wanna ask tell you all what I think and you can make what you want of it.

If you have any displeasure, please feel free to express it to my face. I won't treat you any differently. Serious.

Okay. Here goes nothing.

Firstly, attitude and standard for recent trainings as well as trail spec course.

From our former glory full attendance days to now, our attitude has totally down graded. How many of us now dread training? How many of us dig up any possible excuse to leave early or pon? Just ask yourself that first.

Next, who still reminisces the days where Senior Ding yi, Mayee and Fion took us? Of course, I'm one of them, there's nothing wrong with that. However, comparing now to then is extremely unfair to the NCOs now, especially Staff Eunice, Sgt Mengting and Sgt Yanlin(g).

Thinking that "Last time training so fun, then now like that" is not going to help. In addition to the fact that there are different people in charge, it is also notable to mention that we are already Part Cs. We don't have two more years, we only have two more months.

I myself believe that SM Rachel and Staff Eunice have their reasons to be overly harsh with us. Just how many people in the platoon can produce bangs that are both 90 degrees and loud? How many people can hold pumping position without dropping for more than 3 minutes? The count is less than my five fingers. Just reflect on your own performance and standard.

(Don't worry, I'm not saying I can do those. -.- I'm just as bad as most of you are. Like only Wan Ling can do it? Maybe Lijie and Wan Ping? The bangs ah. The pumping is... EVERYONE, mostly.)

And also, what happened in the bunk cleaning for class 106. Do you girls honestly have to do what you did? Seriously, what are you wearing? What was that time for?

Was that really necessary?

Take a good look at your Trial Specialist Course results.

Were these what you were expecting? Did you even expect anything?

For those who go, "Never mind, I'll try harder for spec course and IMPRESS," I applaud you, go ahead and do your best. I wish you all the best. Carry on with that mindset and you won't go wrong. It's those who don't care that I'm worried about.

"Ai ya, fail then fail only. Spec course only lah. Not as if it will affect my life."

That's where you are wrong.

How can you define a person? That is one unanswerable question, subjected to different answers from different views. If I know your face and name, does that mean I know you? If I know what kind of a person you are, does that mean I know you?

For me, you define a person by how she reacts, how she thinks, what she does, how she is, things like that.

CCA might not be a very important section of your school life for some, and for most, it's actually not a very big part of your life, compared to events next time like working in a job, having a family, you know.

I agree, you know, maybe in the next few years, NCC will be nothing but a good memory. Unless I become a ma'am... but that's another story.

My point is, although it is not important, how you treat it is another thing.

If you have a serious attitude and treat everything in your life equally, high chance is that you'll end up being pretty successful in life next time. I'm not kidding.

On the other hand, those who neglect little things here and there might be the ones who suffer next time. Not to mention those who dismiss things that are not important to you. Such an uncaring attitude is undeserving of any rewards.

Your boss will the one screaming your head off next time instead of Staff Eunice and SM Rachel. The cycle will never stop.

I'm not saying you have to love NCC but at least put in some visible effort.

I don't have to say anything about the top 5 including Sue Lynn already. It's enough to tell by looking.

However, I would like to comment on two people, Tay Jia Hui and Crystal Low.

From the very start up to now, I have never ever heard Tay Jia Hui complaining about anything. Seriously. She doesn't go, "OH MY GOD, NCC! LOVES." but she doesn't go "Ugh. If I knew this (scolding, killer pt, WHATEVER) was going to happen, I wouldn't have came."

Maybe she thought it in her head (though she doesn't look the kind. -.-), it's commendable she doesn't say it out and just takes it as it is. She may not be the best in drills or what but at least she puts in an effort to try and I really love that.

TELL ME WHO DIDN'T LIKE CRYSTAL LOW'S IC-ING?! Haha. That woman was epic, okay. She'll definitely make one hell of an APS! Crystal always looks so sian and blur but she has proven to us that she can do it when she wants to!

Her drills may not be perfect but at least her voice was loud. Haha. Yay, Crystal~ I love her IC-ing!

That was rather random, all in all.

Haha. I would also like to thank Shannon and Jian Le for taking the initiative to be timers at times, you guys were pretty loud. :D Jian Le- try to watch your tone a little, it's a bit sharp, high pitched (?) at times.

Also, to other timers like Fanglin dear, please do try to be louder! Just pretend you're shouting at some really irritating person (for example, ME) and just vomit out the timings! :)

To the others, try to take the initiative more and just try your best! In the next few trainings, just hurry and buck up, if you wait till spec course, you'll get screwed when you screw. So yeah, best to start now and screw now and THEN correct yourself now, yeah?

On last thing to add- going to Specialist Course is actually something pretty big because we're going as NAN HUA HIGH SCHOOL NCC GIRLS CADETS and of course, STAFF EUNICE'S CADETS.

So you know who you'll be disgracing if we stay at this standard.

Try your best, request help if needed, just keep a positive mindset about NCC.

I love you all people because you are my precious platoon mates.

So please, buck up, tweak your attitude, up your drill standard and we're good to go!

The NCC flag consists of three equal vertical bands of colour, red on two sides and white in the centre. Emblazoned upon the centre of the while panel is the NCC Badge. The NCC Badge consists of a shield, with the symbol of the sun in the background. Ten golden beams radiate from the sun, symbolizing the formation of our new country. Surrounding this sun is a blue ring, with the words, National Cadet Corps. And I guess I'll take this opportunity to share some thoughts about friendship. People often comment how much our friendship shines through our pictures and these stories of our adventures and funny exploits. It makes us happy to share the happiness and fun, but I hope that people who say they hope to make bonds like ours are aware that that's not all there is to friendship.

We're not friends merely because we manage to have all that fun together. Apart from all the silly stuff, we talk about our dearest hopes, greatest dreams and darkest fears. We're not just playmates. Real friendship is sometimes difficult. We help each other through the low points of our lives. There are also times that we might hurt each other. It's only natural for friends to fight sometimes, I think. It seems inevitable that people who allow themselves to be raw and open and vulnerable in front of each other might sometimes lead to conflict out of disagreement or misunderstanding. While it sucks when we find ourselves in those situations, but once it's all sorted out I realize that it's those rough patches that make our bonds stronger. I guess somehow fighting is one of the ways in which I really get to know a person, and it also gives me an opportunity to learn about myself. It sheds some light on we manage our anger, it forces us to get to know those raw emotions and thoughts that lie below surface, and it shows how much we are capable of hurting each other. Most importantly though, is how it makes us realize how much the other person really means to us. If after hurting each other and being aware of how difficult you both can be, you still feel that life would not be complete without one another, then that's a friendship worth keeping and fighting for.

Sad as it is, we have been forced to accept that there really are people who are only there for the ride when it's time for fun, but will not hesitate to turn on us when times get tough. They're not willing to invest patience and understanding, and they refuse to grasp what it truly means to say sorry.

Don't get me wrong, though - this does not justify being a doormat if the other person is truly abusive. You ought to know when you're being treated fairly. But this is about those fights caused by misunderstandings between friends. They shouldn't be confused with forms of fighting as a competitive sport where there is one clear winner and titles and trophies are at stake. There is nothing to gain from trying to "win" a fight with a friend. (Or we could say that you can win the title of Ultimate Asshat and a gift certificate from the Universe that entitles you to a lifetime of being friendless and lonely.)

Instead of trying to decide who was right, shift your focus on how to make things better. We all make mistakes. We have our stupid moments. I myself have times when I require a solid punch to the face. Real friends won't hold your mistakes against you if you show willingness to change and grow. Those can be forgiven and taken as opportunities to learn if you allow yourself to be humble enough to consider what others have to say, and be open to finding ways to work things out and to be a better person - even if it means having to listen to and accept difficult truths. Sure, it can hurt. But in the long run, it makes for better relationships compared to ones where people just sweep the bad stuff under a metaphorical rug and pretend that the world is made of sunshine and rainbows. It's really not. But that's why it's beautiful (sunshine and rainbows are so overrated), and knowing true friendship makes the rough paths a little easier to walk in.

And that is the secret of our friendship. Which is not really a secret, really. But sometimes it seems that there is little appreciation in this world for common sense. I apologize for the walls of text, but I do hope some of you were able to pick up some bits of sense in all that."

1. sit ur father/ mother 's car (HAH!)

2. take train go woodlands regional mrt. sit 168 for 6 stops (it goes through alot Expressways) and walk abit more than choice 3 and 4 ( unless u wanna switch buses)

3. take train go pasir ris mrt. sit 58 for 12 stops and walk 150m (approx. accordin to the internet)

4. take train go tampines mrt and sit bus 27B/38 and bus 34

Somehow, the impression of the 'thats too bad cos I got nothing to say le' contradicts your whole apology post. I mean, yes, you are apologizing with good cause too and at the end of the letter you're saying, "Oh actually, I don't really care what you think, so." It's like, you sincerely apologized already, then you brush off the letter like it was off no use.

If you meant what you said, then that line wouldn't exist, because we would forgive you (Fine, maybe some of you evil people out there have not big enough hearts) because you meant it. Because you're giving us an apology from your own guiltiness and you're hoping to get our forgiveness, that line was like, "Ai ya, I also dun care, dun give also never mind."

Then tell me, does that defeat the purpose of the post?

Slapping definitely doesn't help in realising emotional burden, so don't even try. If you really wanted all of us to slap you, after some people, a few of your teeth will be knocked out, I'm not threatening or even warning. Just stating.

That's a lie and you know it. A face brings you far and prejudice immediately focus on the face before the body.

You know, in the army or even now, they have something called a 'blanket' something, I forgot exact terms... But basically, they throw a blanket over someone and proceed to beat the hell out of the guy.

It's not pretty.

So unless you really mean it, don't say things. I'm really serious.

If one of us went up to slap you, you'll immediately retaliate whether through what I'm not sure but the affair will be blown up.

My conclusion is that you're trying but you don't know what way to go, so just keep trying, maybe you'll see the dawn of the day some time.

Let me comment on the common tests we alr took.

Geog - I think i lost ... 4 marks alr? The question 2 there i almost the whole damn question dunno how to do. Good grief. But heng my tikam answer draining swamps saved me. PHEW.

History - Gosh this paper, i 45% confidence i can pass nia. I alr lose 9 marks (structured essay) +1 mark (mcq). Highest I can get is only 20/30.

English - SCREW YOU ENGLISH! I 100% i fail english. I'm serious. Girls, guess wad. I tot each point of the report is the activity organised in the programme. So my whole report focus on the activities done. The other points i didn't mentioned at all. So i wrote 1 point out of 6 points, somemore still got structure problem. Girls, please remember me if i can't get promoted to sec 3 next year due to failure of english.

Chinese - Damn hard questions. My answers all like talking crap, never answer to the question. I'm dead. No?

ELIT - First question i wrote son. But clow says its child/baby. Guess i got it wrong. Got one more question, they ask for 2 adjectives from stanza 2. I gave adjectives from stanza 1 and 3. am i too smart for my own good? Btw darling jiaxuan oso gave answers from other stanzas. ZZZ.

I wrote a speech which I will never say unless I become USM or ASM next time, which I never will so here it is.

Listen up girls, because I'll only say it once and just etch it into your heart.

We are not in any way inferior to the guys, even if some of us can't do 40 guy pumping or whatever. Have you ever watched an NCC girls training? You know how it goes right? Some say the NCOs are being too harsh on girls, believe me, I heard all my girl friends talk before.

We don't have a reputation to uphold and our achievement of 'Silver' isn't on the CCA achievements board. We're mostly not really physically more able than the guys.

That doesn't mean we take things easily and just don't care.

The only main difference between us and them is that we have periods and boobs and they don't have. If you think I'm being crude, I apologize but I truly think that way. We have legs and hands, so they do. They can run, an so can we.

For all the months in NCC, I admit it. We all pass a stage where we hate trainings and try to find ways to pon it. Don't lie girls, we all admitted or know. But if we managed to pass this stage, it's nothing but fun, talk cock and play mahjong.

It sounds sick and masochistic if you told someone else you like being pumped but who the hell cares about the pumping if you got platoon mates together? Imagine you yourself one alone suffering in the bottom pits of a living hell. That's way sad and very pitiful. At least sixteen platoon mates together is fine.

We should try harder, we totally should but whether we do it or not is another matter. Tell me seriously, do you want juniors?

If you all really want them, then SHOUT IT OUT, MAKE YOURSELF BE HEARD. Imagine a year or two down the road, you have people to talk to, to tell them all the tales before. I would seriously love to tell our juniors, if we have any, "Your USM and ASM is crazy, don't look at them so admiringly la. That one was called '

We can't go on like that. Do you want to be looked down on by the NCC guys forever? We got to all buck up, get our act together and just WOW everyone.

For one, I don't want to be the receiving end of all the shit the NCC guys do and I certainly don't want to be looked down on by anyone either. "Wa liao, NCC girls? I die also don't want to join. So boring lor." No way Jose.

Let's give Staff DingYi the SOLID BANGS she wants and be the best there ever is, as a platoon.

All the insecurities and hatred you had for any platoon mates or anything, just forget it now. It's a new dawn. I hate to say it from something like that, but yeah, like "Breaking Dawn". You know "Twilight". For those who know, all the shit Bella goes through, she still gets her happy ending in the end. Granted, we don't have a hot vampire named Edward backing us on but we have a hot PS and two sexy APS, so WHY NOT make it OUR HAPPY ENDING TOO?
